Feather meal is ground feathers subjected to heat and pressure for sterilization and then dried. Crops such as corn and beans that require a constant supply of nitrogen can benefit from this fertilizing agent. This fertilizer works together with nematodes and extant microflora in the soil to make its nitrogen available.
