What is it ?

Mushroom compost is the spent substrate discarded after mushroom farming. Typical spent mushroom substrate contains a number of organic ingredients including hay, poultry and horse manure, hulls and cobs, and inorganic substances such as gypsum and lime. As a soil amendment mushroom compost is used to increase or replace nutrients and increase the water holding capacity of the soil.
